a classic. i’ll admit it’s very slow paced but i feel like that somehow makes it even more off-putting. it all pays off during the climax tho because the stress while watching it is crazy

Controversial opinion but this movie is SO SLOW. The actors did a great job and scenery is amazing but the pacing needs some work. Would highly recommend the book over the movie, it does have its slow sections as well but I found it much more entertaining than the movie 🤷🏻

It's a pretty good movie on its own, but it's not a very good adaptation. The book is way better.

Un film che non si puoʻ non vedere, è più che horror, psicologico in un modo che é difficile da riprodurre, ci sono pochi film nella storia del cinema che inquietano quanto THE SHINING. Potrei parlare di cura della fotografia, sceneggiatura, montaggio...non cambierei una cosa
