What a masterpiece was this movie, the story got me hooked all the way. Didn’t expect the movie to be this deep and interesting. Great plot and let’s be honest, Morgan Freeman can’t miss.

Film class has us watching the most scary and traumatizing movies at 11am. The squeaking of the safe and jail cells were too much.

I’ve never seen a movie more depressing & inspiring at the same time.

This movie has everything you would want in a film. It’s intense and emotional and your on the edge of you seat the whole time. This film has great character development and although I don’t watch movies like this a lot this film is particularly special. This movie is 10/10 love.

Movie is a masterpiece

The highest rated movie on imdb. But I honestly can’t understand why. It has great acting but ultimately a rather boring plot and shallow characters aside from the main two.

It tells a good story but in my opinion fails to have the viewer hooked long enough to see the ending.

It’s overrated as fuck in my opinion

The Shawshank Redemption is an engagingly simple, good-hearted film, with just enough darkness around the edges to give contrast and relief to its glowingly benign view of human nature.

8/10, a beautiful movie about hope and endurance. Sometimes you have to crawl through literal crap to get to the other side, obtain freedom, and get what you’ve been hoping for.

Very good movie. Would watch again. Entertaining.
