Antisemetic. If you are Jewish I recommend you do not watch it. It’s not worth it.

Even with 2 and a half hours, it didn’t manage to build the world and magic of the books. Rushed and predictable. Otherwise, the visuals were incredibly stunning. The actress for Agatha is very talented. Wished they had made it into a TV series instead.

I didn’t really like the ending. I didn’t see why the girls couldn’t stay at the school or why Agatha couldn’t stay with Tedros. Also the buildup between Agatha and tedros was not there for me. 🥲🥲 but I heard there’s six books? So there might be a sequel.

9/10 i love this 💚💚 Sophia Anne Caruso is absolutely stunning, and she is an incredible actress, as is Sofia Wylie. they were both amazing, and i would definitely watch this again.

Overall, it was visually stunning but lacking complexity. I felt it was predictable but that may have just been because the trailer gave a lot away. It felt like they were trying too hard the whole time, and the movie felt dragged out. Could’ve been better as a series tbh 6/10

I feel like they could’ve done so much more with this movie, it left alot to be desired and felt rushed, also the romance was so unnecessary really ruined the movie for me

I might be completely biased. But the book was so much better. They changed up a bunch of stuff and I would’ve liked more similarities but I guess it is hard with the whole world building stuff.

The book wasn’t even that good either

This is the starting point for a lot of enjoyably intricate silliness, which incorporates makeovers, magical duels, shout-outs to Lewis Carroll and Little Shop of Horrors, and some impressively bold puberty metaphors.

It wasn’t the best movie but mainly with better direction it could’ve been better. Definitely didn’t capture everything as in the books and could’ve used more work.

my only real problem with this was the antisemitic trope of “true evil witch” but my petty problem was “not gay enough, why aren’t these two girlfriends?”

Loved the book but this should been turn into a series they did their best to fit everything in a movie but it came with a lot of stories getting butchered
