The Ruins Reviews

It was a decent movie, not my favorite type of horror. I feel like they could’ve expanded more scenes inside of the ruins. I also really disliked all the characters, they were incredibly dumb and it physically pained me.

This is a top five most underrated horror. The log line makes it sound so lame and unworthy, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t a solid flick that any horror hound will appreciate, maybe even the average movie goer too!

This movie freaked me out when I was little. Now older and having watched a couple more times it still makes me uncomfortable

The vines were not nice whatsoever

A classic “leave that shit alone” movie
This was better than I thought it would be, really cool horror idea that I haven’t seen much of. The body horror, and acting were great. Felt a little outdated at times considering the portrayal of the Mayans, otherwise good.

Hated everything about the characters and the scenario

Really liked this concept of a horror movie unusual but interesting,great for people who dont like horror movies with paranormal beings or demons which is the usual in horror movies. Also i would add its maybe little hard on the stomach for some people, personally it was not bad

Saw this in the theater and didn’t recall much. It did its job.

The movie is really underrated. I get it has some flaws; everybody other than Jeff is really irrational. But nonetheless, I really liked it. The concept of the “monster” is super unique and unlike anything I’ve seen before. There was also some really well done body horror.

Geisteskranke Szenen manchmal. Mir hat ein bisschen Backstory gefehlt zu den Charakteren & zu den Ruinen selbst. Man hätte mehr rausholen können, aber das Konzept ist schon krass. Hab es schonmal geschaut, wo ich viel zu jung dafür war. Jetzt weiß ich warum es mich so verstörte
