The Rivals of Amziah King Reviews

The Rivals of Amziah King deserves to be seen as it's funny, heartwarming, thrilling, engaging, has terrific filmmaking, and is full of great music. Not sure where it lands on my best-of-the-year list, but it’s surely up there.

8/10

Mat and Angelina were great, loved Angelina. Very solid mystery movie. Such a unique plot/subject choice, really enjoyed it. 8/10

It's a good movie overall but there are definitely some weird choices made. It played out a lot like two movies and felt very disjointed. There were great scenes but then they were paired with weird shots that didn't make sense. Making the pacing kind of all over the place.

really didn’t love much past the first hour apart from a few sequences but man the first hour is so good. genuinely some of my favorites scenes of the year in here, just sucks that it’s not all as good as some of it is or it would probably be my favorite movie of the year. mcconaughey is so great

Come in with an open mind. It is funny, sad and a little thriller but most of all very enjoyable

It felt like a two part movie, loved it. I can look at Matthew for hours and will never be bored. Loved the vibe, the scenery, the humor and least but not least, the music!!!

Just ain’t for me chief

The 1st half is delightful. Awesome opening, sublime music, beautiful visuals, & great humor. Immersed me into another world. McConaughey is incredible. The 2nd half is still engaging, but loses the warmth & I didn’t quite buy Kateri’s shift in character. Ending falls flat.

Incredible, super fun movie with some fire music

Je pensais voir un live action de Winnie l'ourson mais
MDRRRRRR je suis ressorti sur le cul

Ah what potential

One of the most unique movies I’ve seen in awhile. Great story and great cinematography. Blends music, neo western, and revenge elements really well. High recommend 9/10

A unique Crime Thriller Musical, dripping in unpredictability and simmering in sweet bluegrass.

Yeah he had a ponytail, who else's ponytail would it be.

This is so unique, the editing, story structure, and dialogue are all peculiar, but in the best way possible. Even though the situations are frequently bizarre, it feels so real, like you would actually feel and act like these characters if you were in their shoes.

Two years in a row a movie about bees (bugonia) is in my top 10 of the year

Was surprised to see it was this good. All about rebuilding and patience
Last bit drags just a little but no complaints otherwise

They dress like bees bro
