While the pacing is a bit slow at the outset, the final 45 minutes of this film make it all worth a complete watch. Very moving and incredibly emotional. Firth and Sanada are giving a masterclass in nuanced acting.

Way too slow. Turned off within 20 min

I wanted this film in RS with my teacher. It is such an interesting story and view point. Definitely recommend
