Well now, this here movie, it fair rattled me brains right out of me feckin skull. Left me with a bloody fair throbbing in me head that no amount of brew could appropriate. A proper torment, that was, a real stitch in the side of me Thursday afternoon. Boring it was, laddy.

My parents & grandparents love this film and always want to watch it around st. Paddy’s day since it’s an Irish flick. It was good but it’s important to keep in mind that this was a totally different world and can really be most appreciated only by the older generations.

What’s not to love about this movie?

It was a cute watch but the woman drove me crazy 😂

Genuinely a decent movie, wholesome the whole way through. Only real parts that bothered me were even the main character’s treatments towards his own wife, though I should have tried to ignore that due to the time period this film was released in.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I finally watched this and I loved it. The performances are great and the story is so good. The cinematography and music made this a really great experience. I love films from this era even though some are outdated in plot. Great movie.

Genial película que contrapone las maneras de proceder modernas de un americano recién llegado a su pueblo natal, con las de una señorita interpretada por Maureen O’Hara chapada a la antigua y que ve menester conservar las tradiciones irlandesas en lo que al casamiento respecta.

While an undeniably sweet story that’s beautifully shot and wonderfully acted, this film didn’t quite connect with me. It’s a great story, but it’s dragged out and didn’t grab my attention much. Still, I enjoyed it for its sweet simplicity & beautiful cinematography. 7/10
