Mel Brooks is a genius and this is without a doubt his magnum opus. No film of his surpasses the hilarity and wit of this classic film. (Although Young Frankenstein comes close) 9.5/10

Mostel and Wilder knock it out of the park! This comedy is funny because of its absurdity - the performances hold nothing back which makes a silly movie become hilarious!

Pure genius comedy. It’s so taboo even for the time that I fully believe it is impossible to get reasonably offended by this film. Tremendous comedic chemistry from the leads and a quippy, sharp comedic wit to the whole thing. It’s the perfect length and entirely hilarious

Truly amazing. Refreshingly politically incorrect in a ridiculous manner. And Gene Wilder continues to be an absolute gem, and is iconic in this. Along with every other character. Don’t remember the last time I laughed this hard at a movie.

This might be one of the most Absurd films Mel Brooks has ever created. It’s freaky,outrageous, hilarious and most definitely couldn’t be made today. I had no idea what I was walking into when buying this movie and now I will remember this for the rest of my life. 8/10
