The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

4/5 a fair sequel to a great film that succeeds in sending a strong message: a queen does not need a man by her side to rule a country!

Is it better than the first one? no. But is it pretty dang good for a sequel? YES. Good message and I like how characters came back and they included things related to the first like the foot pop. “KING RUPERT. MAY HE REST IN PEACE” 🤲

The film runs an insufferable two hours, leisurely chugging toward an ending most of the audience will have predicted 15 minutes in. It’s a good movie to spend the evening.
