The Pope's Exorcist Reviews

I loved the part when the guy got his balls fondled by the demon. This movie made me feel excited in so many new places. I was shaking, crying, squirting, and my life flashed before my eyes, I shat myself, and came in my pants. When the movie ended I watched bubble guppies.

So with the popes exorcist…I have seen scarier exorcist movies, but this movie wasn’t meant to be “bone chilling” it was more showing what the priest have to go through. And it was based off his real in-counters. All in all it is a great action/thriller movie with some laughs.

The story was great, the main character was also really badass and some of the scary part was also good (not very much though), honestly this movie wasn't that scary but instead focused on the story and it turned out to be pretty decent , the CGI and VFX were good too, A 7.5/10!!

Shit was actually funny. A lot of characters are one note, however I wouldn’t be opposed for more buddy cop type religious movies. Priest Detective would be such a cool series.

Russell crow could be Italian he was that good, He killed it. Movie was decent enough to nearly make me believe in god and all that nonsense. I enjoyed this and would want to see more of Father Amorth fighting demons.

4.9 - A tale of 2 movies. When it was it’s best, Russell Crowe was hamming it up, with mediocre jokes, campy demon action & over the top CGI. When it was at its worst, the rest of the cast was playing like they thought they were in The Exorcist & it felt too out of place.

so many ghost band buzzwords for me to clap my hands together about. much like a seal

soent the whole time trying not to laugh bc everytime the kid growled it reminded me of my friend

I hated rhat they put in an entire family and then it seemed like they were irrelevant to the whole story. Could honestly have cut out the sister because they were just there to get flailed around.

I mean it’s like most exorcism films. It’s well done and I liked Crowe and his character. It’s not scary. Pops off the last ten minutes and curious to see if they make sequels and where they go. Not a bad watch at all.

Welp. I had high hopes that weren’t satisfied. 1. 3/4 of the movie until the last 30-25 min or so were very hard to get through
2. The main character was very comedic and joked a lot which really took you out of the horror aspect

Russell Crowe’s charismatic performance makes this familiar exorcism story surprisingly fun. The scares are standard and the plot gets wild, but it’s entertaining, fast paced horror that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

This was a very campy movie. Very funny at times lol, not scary at all. Russell Crowe was enjoying this role, and I liked his portrayal of this exorcist. The demon was also pretty memorable. The little boy’s expressions were so funny 😭 I was laughing every time he made a face.

One of my favorite possession movies of all time.
