i watched this a while ago and don’t be deterred by the length it is actually engaging. heath ledger was amazing and there were so many tears shed like immediately. 7.8/10

Good action drama movie I would watch again

Happy 4th of July & a merry yee haw! Great heart & cinematography to this movie. Absolutely shows the strength & spirit of American colonists fighting for independence, even if historical liberties were taken (especially w/the main villain but it adds drama ig).+Mel’s acting was🔥

Not saying it’s bad just wasn’t my thing and couldn’t finish it

The Patriot starts as a historical epic and evolves into a powerful revenge story. It earns its emotional beats, embraces patriotism, and accepts historical liberties for impact. Flawed, dramatic, but undeniably effective. A classic.

Can you imagine just walking in a line towards an opposing army and then just standing there while y’all shoot at each other? Not even trying to hide for cover or anything? Crazy.
