a strange yet unique blend of animation and live-action, most elements are fine on their own, nostalgic nonetheless

The main character is not enjoyable to watch. I get here needs to grow across the story, but he is mostly just scared and wants to go home. The side characters really drive this movie. That being said, the animation was pretty fun

Such a phenomenal movie. Played a huge part in my imagination growing up. The characters were lovely and invoked so much empathy to the audience. They were hard not to love, these lovely ol books and a wandering child with a wild imagination..Or one who escaped to a magical world

I remember watching this as a child and recently rediscovered it, it was in part responsible for my love of reading, I loved the film and loved the message, not for everyone but it's one of my all time favourites, if you love this, you are my people.
