I LOVED this movie as a kid but now no amount of nostalgia can redeem this movie in my mind

Didn’t have a clue what was going on as a kid but I loved every minute of it

I'm a sucker for a good fantasy, and I did enjoy going on this adventure with Atreyu. Perhaps I'd love this more if I grew up with it.

Nostalgia. Great flick with a great 80s song.

The horse dies, guys. Our dad lied to us. We were worried about the horse, he said it lived, then it died immediately afterward. He will never live this down. Fascinating concept of a movie. Great animation, in the scheme of things for the 80s.

AHHH I LOVED IT, it was such a good experience and the plot was simple but fantastic. The visual effects were really beautiful made but in a lot of scenes it was kinda horrid, but it was made in 1984 so it’s okay.
Little spoiler: the death of the horse was awful
