wasn't really my type of movie but the story was good

Robert Redford plays a great ballplayer. Some pacing issues with the non-baseball scenes but otherwise paced well. Good music and the Texas Rangers play the theme music after a home run and that makes it a little more special. Great ending. 8.2/10

I was entertained but the pacing was jarring

I know there are some that rave about this, I felt like it was just ok. There were some memorable moments, but I felt like there was a lot that went unexplained, especially after the time jump. Overall I enjoyed it, I’m just not sure if I’ll ever watch it again.

Honestly loved every minute of this movie. Watched for my film class and had no expectations going in which might be why it was such a good turnout. I’m slowing becoming more and more of a fan of older movies with each one I watch for my class.

A little too foggy and cryptic. Wish it would have laid more stuff out on the line instead of all the cloak and dagger.

One of the better “sports” movies.
