The Mission Reviews

Watched on Film 4. A tale of Portuguese colonialism/Slavery and the Jesuit priests who tried to stop them (killing South American Tribes) Robert De Niro tries his best to provide interest in quite a long winded (but well acted) affair

7.4

The movie’s a little messy. It feels like multiple individual scenes following a rough timeline rather than a fluid movie. The story is interesting but the execution is pretty poor.

5.6

Extraordinary story with huge character development and flawed justification. De Niro and Irons master acting. Colonization at its worst.

Boring

I’ve been wanting to watch this ever since I heard Jack Black rave about it I The Holiday, but I could never find it on any streaming service, until today! He was right though, the score by Ennio Morricone is pretty fantastic. The rest of the film was a bit of a letdown.

I watched this for a class I was taking. It was pretty good. Kinda of a slow burn but enjoyable nonetheless.

Decent

me hicieron verla de tarea en la secundaria y la odio desde entonces

My God. This is truly awful. De Niro and Jeremy Irons are completely wasted. It is unbelievably slow and way way too long. The script is non existent and plot is poor. Avoid this at all costs
