not as relatable as i expected it to be, considering it deals with such universal themes. i think a lot of media forgets that 90% of viewers don’t have intergenerational wealth, though i understand it can be appealing to watch and steep yourself into such lives.

I enjoyed. Albeit not immediately

Good well written family drama. It could be a little slow at times but the cast gave great performances.

Took me a while to warm up to it - because this movie SHOWS, never “tells.” Once the children start speaking their minds the drama really comes to a climax, and the resolution is subtle, natural, and satisfying. Good characterization. Well-performed. Needed less nudity. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A new favourite. This had me dying laughing (the car wrecking scene was too much for me to handle). Amazing performances from the whole cast. Heartbreaking and witty - consuming

another wildly intellectual baumbach feature full of jarring moments, charismatic characters, wonderful dialogue, and disjointed everything else, but in the best way possible. honestly hilarious and thoroughly enjoyable the whole way through. finally a great ben stiller character

My girl Jean needed more screentime but other than that this movie is brilliant

i need two tons of alcohol to put in my eyes after watching Eliza’s movies. but the rest of the movies is ***** perfect

I will watch anything made by Noah Baumbach

So good

Noah baumbach just loves having divorcees fighting over what books are theirs, five minute scenes of finding parking spaces with an extensive dialogue, and creating the most exceptionally, egregiously pretentious father figures.

Enlightening

Great movie!! Very Wes Anderson coded, with the more natural and out-of-pocket dialogue, and abrupt cuts. If you watch, you’ll know what I mean lol

A poignant and very funny film observing family dynamics. It has a great cast who give great performances: Noah Baumbach is one of the best writers out there and he’s really able to write realistic and convincing dialogue.
