The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc
Started off really well, kept strong, started to flop, flopped hard, and got interesting again. The story was great, so many thoughts and conversations we all have, thrown into one. Luc and Mila could never go wrong in my eyes. She might not have been the best, but the acting just got better and better. I love how it remained a mystery, going back and forth between potential reasonings. The score could have been memorable, and the casting was memorable. I learnt afew things, especially as time went on, but some things felt really unnecessary, unlike the comedy, which was nessasry.

The extent of my knowledge of Joan of Arc is only what I saw in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. I thought she was supposed to be some great warrior, however, it seems like she didn’t do much fighting at all. She seemed absolutely crazy. Maybe I just don’t understand any of it.

Sensational acting and visuals. Heart wrenching story. Beautifully filmed in every aspect. So much thought and detail put into this film. Sensational.

it was a sad thing to witness, that the English deemed a woman a massive threat for them just because she led the french to grand victories and burned her in the end.

Although embellished at certain points, this is a great historical depiction

Didn’t age as well as I had hoped. LOVED Luc Besson films back in the day starting with “The Big Blue”. I can actually pinpoint that Dustin Hoffman’s role in this film ruined it for me.
