The first ever found footage film, before ‘The Blair Witch Project’

I love found footage flicks!

When I was younger I fell for this not bad

Who shoots an alien and brings it inside the house ? Lol and the acting is not very convincing for what it is. It’s the first found footage movie,at least about aliens so I had to watch. It’s not too bad taking in consideration the year and probably no budget.

Feel like there’s way too many times they just stopped caring & going back in normal family stuff like nothing is going on. Aliens were definitely just children dressed up. The camera makes it difficult to see anything which I think they do intentionally

Maybe it was good at the time of its release, but there’s just too much “what was that?!” to go with unviewable images. The acting is not believable. “We just saw aliens!!!… so I guess let’s sit down and have some dinner.””

Apart from the history behind this one (being possibly the first film to be fully shot in the found footage style), this is an uneventful movie. Very little happens and it is very apparent there was no budget. The short runtime is its saving grace from being unwatchable.

As a piece of horror history it was cool to see the first true found footage movie, but soooo much of this was very aimless. The effects were very eerie and unsettling though. It’s on YouTube for free if you’re curious
