Why arent there more movies like this? Pinnacle of cinema. Not a perfect movie overall, however it is a perfect revengture movie.

Great script, wonderfully choreography and sword fights, great use of comedy, attractive love interest, some emotional pull, what else can you want?

Great action. Great romance. Antonio Banderas is perfect, and his chemistry with Catherine Zeta-Jones nearly melts the screen.👍🏻👍🏻

the choreography, costumes, and set design are phenomenal. everything is grand and vibrant. not perfect but for the most part they all come together well and make every scene feel immersive and pop

A staple in my childhood movie collection. It’s not a perfect film, but the casting and set design are what really makes this film special. It balances action, romance, and comedy well. Its runtime was lengthy, but that’s usually included in a classic adventure epic.

Infectiously enjoyable tale w/ timeless sense of adventure & wide-scope plot of political intrigue & family drama. Delightful action w/ great set pieces & choreography. Hopkins brings gravitas, Banderas lively charm, and Zeta Jones is quite the stunner. Any nitpicks are minor.

A fun, old-school swashbuckler with charismatic leads and flair. Banderas and Hopkins have great chemistry, and the sword fights deliver. It’s pulpy and over-the-top, but in the best way.

This and the legend of zorro are the best films I’ve ever watched. Loved the storyline and how it makes the audience actually feel what’s happening

My goddess Catherine Zeta Jones is so beautiful, and I’m blushing every time she appears on the screen.
