The Manchurian Candidate

Absolutely a propaganda piece, but I loved it anyways. I felt so horrible for Raymond and loved the mystery of what their plot was and who was involved. The main character was compelling and I felt horrible for Raymond. Here's hoping the 2004 one will be as good.

👍👍 Great political thriller that's interesting & unsettling from the start, but halfway through ramps up and is truly enthralling. Despite some bizarre/confusing writing (see Ben & Rosie's relationship), the performances are excellent and it's still a definite classic.

was really bored and confused in the first half but really enjoyed when the story started connecting and I realised what was going on here. Loved the talking in the audience whenever someone said “solitaire”. I feel extremely bad for Raymond, what a tragic but really great story
