The Magnificent Seven Reviews

While it’s not necessarily magnificent and is basically your typical western, I had a great time watching this and bonding with my dad. I’m going off to college in a few days so I really enjoyed spending the time with him. 7/10

Got better as it went. First western. I liked that its story line wasn’t so predictable and the ending remarks a lot.

Not bad, but I think “Seven Samurai” (which it’s based on) is way better!

Thoroughly gripping & exciting, and put a smile on my face. What more can I say? Great performances, and every character has a little quirk to them to humanize them (e.g. the relationship between Bernardo and the little boys). Great scenery and nice music.

Better than the new one

Really good but I always feel like large scale combat is difficult for older movies to harness.

This cast is absolutely stacked! This film absolutely holds up to this day! The stunt work, especially those that include horses, are just outstanding! Not to mention one of the greatest western theme songs. By far one of my favorite Westerns of all time!

theme song still slaps. Great bit of nostalgia for fans of the genre.

An exact replica of 56 ‘Seven Samurai’.

The best word to describe it is fun. An all-time score by Elmer Bernstein. Imagery is fantastic and the fight scenes are great. I would say ‘Seven Samurai’ is still better (since this is technically a remake) but this has the bonus of being an extra 1.5 hours shorter than 7S
