i used to watch this movie with my mom while it was on netflix. i don’t know what about it appealed to us so much, but i have probably seen it 59 times. so so good. such cute memories from my childhood are attached to this film. i love morgan freeman and i love this movie.

Morgan Freeman is great in everything. He plays Monte, a novelist who has a writers block and goes to a lake house in Belle Isle and meets the family next door.
