I remember this ending of this movie with the “this land is your land” thing so vividly bc they would rerun this all the time and then it stopped being run and I think now that I’m older I can understand just how problematic it is but like it’s still so nostalgic

A) banishing the villain to Ohio is so iconic b) simply people would’ve made so much fun of Kyle for step dancing and singing this land was made for you and me

probably seen this 12 times as a kid, very fun and i remember watching this almost every year on st. patties day

I loved this movie as a kid when I learned of my Irish heritage. A very cheesy movie. But I liked it nonetheless despite not likening basketball either. It was certainly nice to see some coverage of the Irish marginalization in the movie.

Imagine making a movie about diversity and Ireland and using every cliches known to humankind and ending the movie with a patriotic song telling people how proud u are to be American. Well if it’s sounds interesting, this movie is for you

CLASSSSSIICCCCCCCCCC, this movie was a big part of my childhood, i thoroughly enjoyed watching it growing up and it still holds up today 🙏🏼
