The Love Witch

my brain refuses to believe this movie came out in 2016. loved the “bad/almost monotone 60s/70s acting”, it was relaxing. the story was ok but the star of the show was definitely the aesthetic and cinematography, worth watching solely for it.

What do I think of this? I don’t even know. This was easily one of the most confusing, strangely shot and plot movies I’ve seen in my life. Where do I start? The lovers? The love affairs? The writing? Directing? Producing? Music? Camera work? I don’t even know. I’m lost&confused

Vibe based movie

This movie was bad. I enjoyed it at first because of its 70s vibe despite being released in 2016, but it just went downhill. I don't like the idea of following a heroine who is so male centered and a homewrecker. The message was meant to surround 'female revenge' and give Elaine a black widow type of vibe, but she was only focused on one type of love. She never cared for anyone but herself and the only reason she got away with what she did is because of how the men in this movie are. All the women were able to help with the evidence and see through her.

The acting was also bad and it wasn't comical to be in a camp type of way. The bar patrons said 'burn the witch' before attempting to rape her?? I was confused the entire time.
