The Lost Weekend

I went like because though this movie is PHENOMENALLY done, much like Joker, it is extremely heavy and anxiety producing. I use this platform more as a personal rating than a take my opinions out and look at it creatively. It would be a high rating on Letterboxd

Nominated for 7 Oscars. I can understand how Ray Milland won best actor and the director Billy Wilder won the Oscar as well. So powerful and significant for the time and really dived deep into alcoholism.

A quintessential 40s flick from the legend Billy Wilder. Perhaps the best portrayal of alcoholism ever put to celluloid. Deserved every award it got that year. Brilliant!
