Incredibly detailed and sprawling story of D day from both sides. The scale is very impressive. Slow pace but great action considering the period. Legendary actor in it. Feels like a huge inspiration for Saving Private Ryan.

It’s an interesting movie to see the events of D-Day unfold from different perspectives. While it’s not a favorite, I could definitely watch it again

Essential viewing when watching WW2 war movies.

One of the best war films ever made. The action scenes are so realistic and so impressive they really stick with you. Excellent performances and an overall well crafted story and end product. Could’ve done with being a little shorter but what we end up with is still marvellous

The Longest Day is a cinematic marvel, with stunning visual effects and remarkable creativity for its time. A brilliant portrayal of D-Day, featuring an outstanding cast who fully embody their roles. One of the best war films ever made.
