an enjoyable and charming wes anderson film that brilliantly uses its maritime aesthetic to tell a disjointed yet hilarious story in a vivid setting. the script and soundtrack are both phenomenal and the stellar cast delivers a variety of great performances

Kate Blanchett is adorable. I didn’t knew I need to see Bill Murray being badass and shooting Filipinos off his boat but am not complaining.

Wes Anderson I am fucking sobbing you need to stop doing this to me

Beautifully filmed, wonderfully written, and superbly heartfelt, The Life Aquatic is so excellent that it’s hard to describe. It’s full of so much raw emotion and beauty, I find it hard to believe that so many people disregard this in comparison with Andersons other works. 9/10

This had alot of charm to it, wasn’t as polished and symmetrical as some of Andersons newer films but it had a lot of his style. I enjoyed the cinematography and the animation, however Andersons use of dialogue in this film was hard to connect to, and I wished I loved it more. 🐡

The Bowie soundtrack is very nice
