The Last Samurai Reviews

I did like it a lot. Didn’t imagine it would be so interesting to watch.

The Last Samurai is an idyll in which the savageries of existence are transcended by spiritual devotion. That's a beautiful dream, and it gives the film a deep pleasingness, but the fullness of life and its blackest ambiguities are sacrificed.

This is a perfect like, nothing to really critique besides minor moments worthy of an eye roll, but even that added to the charm.

Great antagonists considering how little build up they had, just mad annoying

this movie is my whole heartttt. i’m so glad this wasn’t some white savior bs. everything about this was so beautiful and powerful. can’t believe i waited so long to watch it.

I mean come on TC! He can do it all, very long watch, but kept me engaged. I wanna be a freaking warrior now. This is legit the Japanese Hidalgo

it was actually super good and i rly liked it i’d rate it higher but I watched it in class

One of the greatest movie ever

This movie managed to impress really well with its extremely strong plotline and amazing narrative. The cast of this movie were exemplary and the way the story was told was just so compelling. It’s not action packed, but the great storytelling and acting make this a treat. 10/10

Amazing story. Loved the themes of honor and discipline with the samarui. Climax was phenomenal. Tom Cruise's arc was great, but could be a little much at times is the only gripe.
