Hitchcock at the top of his game even back in '38.  Has an eerieness to it, while also being oddly charming & witty. More music could have added to the atmosphere further, but it is what it is. The characters, especially the main pair, are incredibly likable and cute, and train settings are always a plus.

It was a pretty good mystery thriller with some humor you don't expect from Hitchcock. I'd say the final act definitely brought this up and made it memorable. The fight scene was hilarious too and probably my favorite part.

In some ways this was a lot lighter and more comedic than other Hitchcocks. It was eerie, without it being too much. The male and female leads were both actually interesting, with unique personalities.
