This will be the sleeper film of 2026, obviously I really hope that it makes it big at the box office but it’s releasing in a very delicate period.

That said, the film is fantastic, I cannot praise it enough

Here I was thinking comedy was dead and then Olivia and this perfect cast comes back to resuscitate it.

Olivia, you are a mastermind and I have a lot to learn, directing was wonderful.

To the writers, for the love of god, never and I mean never stop making films.

You can see a lot of improv in here and it works so well, every character studied to perfection by the wonderful actors and every character so distinct from one another.

Cinematography, simple yet brilliant, using every corner of the location and every split in the mindset of the characters translated through visuals, wow.

The 35mm film, perfect for this, perfect, I don’t use this word often, color was awesome too, again, simple but true and effective.

Nothing of this feels forced, which is a recurring theme in new comedies of this decade. Seth’s character was hilarious and every word or look made me laugh.

Edward Norton’s character did the exact same thing, I was dying of laughter, the rug thing made me lose it.

Olivia Wilde’s character was a mess and it was working so well against Seth’s character, total opposites yet the same.

And wow, Penelope Cruz, loved the performance.

Overall, one of the top of 2026 and I’m saying this with confidence even though we got 5 months to go still.

And again, holy f**k that writing was good, unforgettable.

what a roller coaster! i loved it

Fuck this couple who were sat to my left who were aggressively making out at various parts throughout the movie. I get that Olivia and Penelope – and Norton if that’s your vibe – are hot, but please keep me out of this. Or Invite me!! Adored this so much. Monday Surprise Premiere

Outstanding middle-age couple comedy. Awkward, cringy, and hysterical writing. Great and wildly different comedic performances by all four co-stars.

Would I go out of my way to watch it again no, was it still a fun movie yes. The entirety of the movie takes place in one apartment which is fine but not my favorite kinds of movies. The four different personalities were funny and worked well together.

This movie had me in the palm of its hand though. I could watch one continuous scene of the chemistry between Seth rogens character and Olivia wild’s character for the rest of my life. It’s easily both of their best work. Everyone is carrying in this movie and I love the white lotus style dynamics. Not only is it funny and the drama is delicious, but it has a lot to say about relationships in general. The ending really brought it home to, with a beautiful and quiet end that contrasts the rest of the movie really well. Lowkey might be a contender for my movie of the year 🔥

The comedy hits really well, I was laughing so many times, the emotion gets real deep and meaningful, and it gets weird in all the right ways. I loved the acting, the cinematography was great too, and I feel like it’s a well made film with so much care put into it. I really liked it.

The first half is noticeably better than the second half, but it’s not a large margin, and the ending secures this film’s excellent status. Rashida Jones is an amazing writer and all four main performers are incredible. What a hilarious, meaningful moment of fictional lives.

Not as inviting as I thought it would be. The first act of the film was fantastic. The acting, dialogue, comedy, tension, and pacing had me ecstatically ready for whatever was coming. Unfortunately, the second act exhaustingly drags on, and along with the film's strong points, my interest level was slipping hard. Only for the final act to have bored me to sleep. Cruz, Norton, and Wilde were great, though Rogan, not so much. I would have been kinder with my rating if it hadn't been so pretentious and boring. Maybe I’d recommend it to the 'married folk'.

One of the best film of 2026 ! Everything happened in one night, and that meeting was hella memorable. I enjoyed this in one sitting without thinking when is this going to end. The script was so funny and all mains did the acting so good ! Olivia’s my spirit animal.

A rollercoaster of emotions.


I had been looking forward to seeing this film ever since I saw the great reviews it was getting, and it did not disappoint. From the amazing writing, to the terrific performances, to the superb story, this film excelled in so many areas.

Ed norton id insane at cringe comedy 8/10

8.5 - I don’t know what to think of Olivia Wilde as a director.

I liked Booksmart, but I was underwhelmed compared to what I perceive as the general consensus. And then I was really let down by what I thought was a fantastic concept with Don’t Worry, Darling. So another comedy, especially starring Wilde herself & Seth Rogen who I am very lukewarm on, my expectations weren’t high here. I almost skipped it in theater all together.

And thank goodness I didn’t. I was more than pleasantly surprised, I actually loved this. It is probably the funniest movie, at least in terms of actual times I laughed out loud, that I’ve seen yet this year.

The script is razor sharp. All four actors fill their roles flawlessly - I genuinely wouldn’t be upset with any of them getting some acting nomination buzz (though I don’t anticipate any, knowing what else is coming in the second half of the year). And Wilde’s tight direction & use of a cramped but open apartment create a brilliant pressure cooker of anxiety & awkwardness that perfectly captures trying to save a marriage going stale.

The biggest note I had was how abrupt & severe the tonal & emotional shift was in the final act to a heavy but hopeful (?) & delicate ending, but I’m not really upset by it as much as it just sort of knocked the wind out of me.

I don’t know if I’m fully sold on Olivia Wilde yet, but I think she has found her niche in elevated & personal dramedy, & i hope she continues to explore these interpersonal stories.

it’s obvious this was written by rashida jones, her type of humor + habitual millennial awkward pauses & jittery gilmore girls fast talk. loved that seth rogan is here & plays himself masterfully. thank you olivia wilde for including a nostalgic 3 minute old school rom com intro

I did not know what to expect coming in to this movie. It gave me similar vibes like The Drama where they ran with a joke the entire movie and I wasn’t even that upset about it. Overall, I enjoyed it and had a good laugh.

What a slick, well-written, funny fucking film this turned out to be!

Extremely effective in every filmmaking element. It’s a single location film, and every ounce of the space is utilised to an impressive regard. The shots pulled off are stellar, and framing never feels limited by the apartment, of which the set design within it, is stunning - but more importantly the awe inspiring staging of the actors and camera within it . Score is effective, but never overpowers - it builds and flows alongside the sharp script, for all its shocks, emotional beats and sudden surges of energy.

Frankly it’s about time Edward Norton gets a Supporting Actor Oscar, he’s tried and tested now in like, three different decades - it’s time, he’s brilliant. They all are; Cruz, Wilde, Rogen and Norton provide truly one of the best ensembles put to screen in a good while. Each of them brings a different vibe, yet they all gel and interweave with one another - again due to brilliant writing, but brought to life expertly all the same. Genuinely careers bests from all, and I thought Penélope Cruz would never give a better performance than that in Ferrari.

Actually can’t get over how brilliant this film truly is, absolutely the best film of the year, so far anyway. I think this has some strong chances come award season, and deservedly so.
