Let's make a movie about a satanic demon and use it as the twist but let's put all those scenes in the trailer so people aren't spoiled. Let's also use the most stereotypical, broken rich white family's broken dad and the outsiders who are typically of a different race, type of prose. I won't lie the visuals and ideas were great, I loved the different kills but nothing made sense. Why was the promotional stuff based on Peyton? Her character means nothing to the story, she just gets killed and possessed first, it's in the trailer so it should be fine to say all this, right? Oh, well.

“I had a legacy to build”
idrk what to say lol I already figured what would happen from the beginning & that one person had very little to no emotion when acting 😭 the visuals with the ghosts were kind of reminding me of the haunting of hill house. ending was predictable 😔

I don’t understand the hate. It was entertaining. I wouldn’t call this horror or a thriller even. Mystery at best. I wouldn’t read any of the reviews though because people were giving out spoilers like Halloween candy 🙄

i wish i had the confidence of a man thinking he’s going to kill a demon, that has demonstrated several of its supernatural abilities, with a single bullet left in his gun.

i mean. horror is very loose. thriller more like. i will say however, once again, the black woman is completely right in her suspicions and concern and is written off as being the unworthy outsider. can we maybe stop using this trope? i mean clearly she knew more than any of them anyway, cause she’s the only one who made it out. big respect for hannah doing all of that herself and still being badass.

a lot of plotholes and the storyline is kind of dumb. none of the characters are really likeable, lack personality and fit into basic tropes/stereotypes. a lot of cringey dialogue. only really redeeming quality about it is the film location. the way charles died was kinda cool ig
