The Infernal Cauldron Reviews

the pacing was a bit slow but i liked the character development, you could really feel the pain of the fire
none of those long drawn out scenes with monologues that over-explain the plot or give you any idea of what you’re watching
10/10 would recommend

the beginning had some really rough cuts but it got pretty funny at the end. the effects at the end are actually pretty cool too

He should put me in there next

9.2 - The eternal effort to innovate. Just a 2min read on Wikipedia shows how incredible some of the tricks were. Plus a full (& dark!) story. Def watching more of Méliès’s work soon.

We’ve all been there, Mr. Belphegor - ready to jump in ourselves when all else fails.

It was alright. A little silly but nothing crazy.

as ancient as it is innovative. holds up visually, an archaic relic of horror and fantasy film

I can't really give this a "proper" rating, so I'll just give it my neutral one, but it's a little funny. At least I can say it's the earliest film I've ever seen lol
