they’re talking about computerssss. an everything machineeee. the second they started discussing machines, codes, and the possibility of a machine that could think, I was locked in as a computing student but then the movie stopped being about breaking Enigma and became about Alan trying to rebuild the boy he misses in the only form he knew how 😭💔😭😭💔💔 + I think Alan and Joan understood and loved each other in a way that didn’t need to become conventional romance

as always, I made the mistake of researching the real story, so I have discovered they altered it so much that I started debating the words “based on a true story" but personally, I believe that makes the title even more fitting because this, is an imitation, of Alan Turing.
