The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

After watching all the movies I can confidently say that this movie and the one before it are much worse than the first 2

Man, there would have been a much better movie if they’d have just combined the best, and most important parts of this and Part 1, opposed to stretching it out into this drawn-out closure to the story.

It would also have made this all a trilogy - and a very good one, but no… This was fine, plenty of engine moments throughout, but despite the film being prolonged, it all feels rushed and there’s character moments that come out of nowhere and are so abrasive. CGI is a little wonky in places, the film bites off more than the budget can apparently chew, particularly in the Capitol about mid-way through.

Sam Claflin was wasted here, Jesus - I haven’t read the book, so don’t know if it was accurate, but yah… Jennifer Lawrence is better here than the first part, although still sometimes feels a bit forced, mainly in that final monologue.

Excited to rewatch Songbird and Snakes as my final prep for Sunrise of the Reaping in November.
