Recently re-watched and was reminded how great this film is. Incredible acting. Kidman won the Oscar, and all 3 leads were flawless , but imo Julianne Moore did the heavy lifting and drove the emotion of the story. Stays very true to the novel. Highly recommended.

"if there is a choice between Richmond and death, i choose death" this a film that makes you feel deeply. the 1st time i watched it i couldn't understand it & i didn't enjoy it. the 2nd time i payed proper attention & let myself feel the uncomfortable, dark feelings.

What does it mean to regret when you have no choice…

Extremely miserable and gay. Rather slow and sad but not so bad to create a complaint. It felt right for the kinds of emotions the ladies were feeling. Extremely relatable, made me think about the feelings of dread I had just a few days ago

A movie that leaves an impression. Nicole Kidman did a fantastic job portraying Virginia Woolf.

2/26/26: Outstanding

They did an exceptional job portraying the tension between outer order and inner chaos, letting emotions convey through silence and gestures rather than dialogue. Small pauses, passing glances, and subtle shifts in body language speak louder than words, revealing what the characters cannot or will not say out loud. This style makes the emotional experience feel more intimate and honest, allowing the viewer to sense the tension beneath the surface without being told exactly what to feel.

A deep film about many emotionally heavy themes. The different time periods happening simultaneously might not work for everyone but I enjoyed that aspect the most. Definitely an introspective watch.

This movie was absolutely amazing, so heart melting and made me feel such intense emotion. Great watch, will definitely rewatch sometime.

One of the most complexe in subject and interpretation horror movies I have ever seen. You need a strong heart to watch it but it’s totally worth it

J’ai bcp aimé le fait qu’il y ai trois histoires parallèles qui sont en fait toutes liées, les acteurs sont oufs, il y a un bon équilibre entre émotions/synospis/denouement/temps calme. Le film est équilibré à la perfection
