One of my favorite haunted house movies with such a great atmosphere. I've enjoyed every iteration of Hill House, even the shitty remake from 1999, simply for nostalgia reasons. I will say it does drag a bit because the characters aren’t all that compelling but still a favorite.

this is what you get when talented and creative people make genre films. camera angles that could be gimmicky create real unease. based on a Shirley Jackson novel, the psychology of the story elevates it. so visually and emotionally engaging with an unusually satisfying ending.
