I watched this on YouTube and was actually very impressed with the editing. I don’t know anything about the film industry and what they were capable of back then but for the first horror film, according to my google search, it was impressive.

I’m gonna love it because it gave us all the horror movies we love. Not bad effects for 1898 and no sound, just music.

Definitely not scary by today’s standards but I’m sure the late 1890’s had different standards for what we consider horror
