Read the book when it came out (yes, I know I’m showing my age😬) and was thrilled the movie captured the details. At that time I had a huge crush on Aiden Quinn so added bonus. I think it probably holds up well, so if you don’t want to invest in the series it’s a good alternative

The pacing and tone is all over the place and I feel like the film makers just assumed anyone watching red the book as there is very little characterization or explication of deeper plots or side characters. Flawed but okay. The series is way better.

An ok movie. First season of the tv series is a much better adaptation.

Idk the movie ain’t such a bad reproduction of the novel. Maybe better than the tv séries in terms of casting and not adding things not in the novel. Although it left a lot of things but it was still loyal to the novel

This movie is sort of like one episode of the modern day The Handmaid’s Tale with different actors, but similar scenes. There’s no real reason to watch it, unless you’re bored.

The movie is so much better than the show, especially in terms of the cast.
