Terrible. The original was soooo much better.

So I really liked that this move was not really a remake at all and had its only storyline and plot. The one thing that I disliked is it felt like it jumped all over the place and was filmed in a rush with a deadline. Would I watch it a 100 times like the OG one no but it wasgood

Even the two leads who had great performances and are great actors couldn’t save this film. The script felt empty and flat and I just wasn’t getting the eeriness it was trying to provoke.

I have to say that though the original was just ok, this new version was even less so. As with the original, you know the two women are tied together in some way. This new version is definitely a step down from the original.

the mother going crazy because the babysitter had a vengeance because she killed the rapist father
how polly (rebecca) brutally died while beating on caitlin’s car window while she was trying to save herself and her baby and they got into a crash 🫪

The Hand That Mocks the Cable. I mean, it feels like nothing more than a TV movie. A strong cast, with confused performances. A predictable premise, with clichéd results. A forgettable buildup, with an underwhelming ending. An overexposed script, with weak directing. I can't find many positives, apart from maybe Winstead. Otherwise, it's just mediocrity and shallowness. I haven't watched the original, but I think I should have. Surely it can't be as bad as this.

There was not enough buildup or reveal. It was just meh.

Long legs vs Sky High. Interesting enough, both chicks ultimately were shitty people. 6.5/10

I wanted Polly to get her happy ending. That lady killed her family then lived her life in peace. (The dad was the only one who deserved it). Polly should have got her I hated watching that. The only good part about the ending was Emma telling Josie about her.

I’ve become a big Maika Monroe fan and thought she again crushed this role. Slow intense build of tension, fire story. I’ve gotta check out the original now.

Had a lot of potential but they dropped the ball on this unnecessary remake by trying to make it as woke as they possibly could. 0 chemistry between anyone at all. And I really like MM but she needs to link up with better directors imo but she carried this as best as she could 🔨👶🏻
