Too much tonal whiplash

Wtf did I actually just watch ?!
The cinematography was amazing but it doesn’t make a movie.
It was so misogynistic and fat phobic I want to throw up.
Knowing that it is based on the director’s life is sad but it absolutely doesn’t justify romanticizing incest and misogyny.

Strange one, got kind of a Call Me By Your Name vibe. The dialogue and interactions feel very realistic rather than movie-like

was stunning and started my love for italy and want to go there. i don’t actually know what the plot was but no matter. it was visually stunning and although i couldn’t understand what they were saying i didn’t need to- body language was enough for the actors they were amazing
