devastating don’t watch unless u wanna cry

Amazing movie! Incredible line, acting and ending.
“Please boss, don't put that thing over my face, don't put me in the dark. I's afraid of the dark.” Broke my heart💔. 9/10🐁

This film was perfect. So perfect that I didn’t even realise how long it was until I looked at the clock. The final scene between John, Paul, Brutus, Dean and Harry was so sad. It was nice to have a prison film where the guards (Except Percy) are nice to the prisoners 10/10

Felt similar to Shawshank, and now I know why: both adapted Stephen king novels and directed by the same guy. The magic feels weird at times, but outside of that idk why this didn’t win anything or why critic scores are so low. I’ll be quoting “I’m tired boss, dog tired”for life

I NEVER CRIED SO HARD IN MY LIFE

This movie was an amazing emotional experience. It’s a little over 3 hours long but I never felt it because the pacing was perfect and I was just so hooked and embraced in the great storytelling. This has to be one of the best Stephen King adaptations ever

A poignant and moving story that does a brilliant job at getting you emotionally invested in all the characters. I will say, I don’t know it needed to be quite as long as it is, but I understand that a lot of that time is also spent building character moments that do help stick the landing at the end

I knew this was a death row movie but that’s all I knew going in. I did not expect the added mystery to the storyline. This is a super well written movie. So engaging even though it’s hecka long. Lots of characters you hate and lots you love which means it did a dang good job! I might change to love later
