Wahlberg was fantastic but Bale is in a different league. Bale steals every scene he’s in absolutely incredible. This movie has all of the emotions. There were moments I cried, cheered, had goosebumps. This is a must watch. The redemption arc is wholesome. You won’t regret watching

What more can you say about Bale? Getting the Oscar for this was a no-brainer. Just pure magic. Seeing him compared to the real person was like a mirror. This is not a boxing movie, rather it’s about family and the sacrifices needed to achieve your goals. Incredible film

It’s sometimes difficult to judge biographical films. However, Christian Bale never ceases to amaze me with his acting jobs. The Fighter plays both sides and shows the importance of family whilst showing the necessity to branch off for your own good.

This is a movie about family and addiction, not boxing. It is a very moving story, painful and heartfelt and very real. These people are angry and hurt and want more but are stuck

I think it’s interesting . read a review that said there wasn’t a big enough villain, and i half agree. yes, there was no big betrayal, but this is based on a real story, this isn’t iron man. his family was bringing him down and disappointing him constantly. 6/10 bale killed it

This movie has heart, but the momentum takes a little too long. Powerful performances by Wahlberg and Bale and end makes you feel like you are in the stands.

Christian Bale is unreal in this movie, Mark Wahlberg was great too his character just didn’t need all that much. I didn’t like that Amy Adam’s became unlikable but obviously it’s a true story so oh well. Classic overall

8/10. Great. A truly good sports film that really serves as a vehicle for Christian Bale’s arguable career peak performance. This aside, the film struggles between whether it wants to be a sport or drama film, despite shining best as a drama. A bit predictable as a sport film.
