The Father
The role that upset Chadwick Boseman at the Oscars. Hopkins absolutely deserved his 2nd Best Actor win in what is perhaps the greatest portrayal of dementia ever put to film. Non-linear story telling with a heart wrenching ending like no other. Don’t skip this one!

The Father
The Father is an overwhelmingly devastating depiction of the painfully progressive disease that is dementia. Anthony Hopkins delivers an award-worthy, powerfully compelling performance.
TW: do not watch it if you are unprepared to be completely gutted and devastated.
