This was the weirdest movie I’ve ever seen with no explanations and almost no speaking and even the ending was bad

yeesh!! but yeah

spoilers follow. i think it was good. told a complete story. at the beginning, by talking to the intruder, she “unlocked” him to kill her mother in front of her (i do not believe this was her fault, but children might think that way). parallel to the end where the young boy literally unlocks his birth mom from her captivity, leading her to retrieve police, and for our lead to be shot in a police altercation. end result: both children did an action that more or less led to the death of the person that raised them = intense severe trauma for both kids, kind of reminds me of generational trauma

I wish the whole movie was as good as the 3rd part. The rest of the movie wasn’t that good

crazy fucking bitch. also slow ass movie. only reason i didnt give it a dislike is cuz the last 30 mins actually got interesting

beautifully shot, disturbing little plot. loved the random yuri and love the female serial killer representation. nothing seriously groundbreaking in terms of story or cinematography but a really good time. loved the moodiness and the main character

I could watch a 3hr long TED talk of a psychologist breaking this character down. Disturbing in its simplicity and deeply unnerving. Sympathizing with a psychopath always makes for an unforgettable flick.

This movie is a lot. A tale of the effects of tragedy at a young age, our main character gives in to the worst in response to her trauma. These acts only get worse at the film progresses. While quiet and slow, I love this depiction of how tragedy can destroy the brains response.

Ending felt abrupt but I’d guess that was on purpose. Pretty horrifying but artfully composed.

okay this is literally just pearl. well up until the 3rd part then i had to stop watching because it was so disturbing
