The Exorcist III Reviews

wow

Pretty good sequel with lots of references to the original, George c Scott yells a lot tho! Creepy vibe but nothing will ever top the original

If it weren’t such a poor film by comparison to the first - it wouldn’t be half bad, but by its nature as a sequel, it’s impossible.
1.75 /5

A compelling blend of detective mystery and supernatural horror that proves the Exorcist universe still has plenty of disturbing stories to tell. The investigative narrative gives the film a gripping sense of intrigue, while its atmosphere and unsettling imagery create a persistent feeling of dread. A strong continuation that balances psychological horror with a mystery worth unraveling.

I love that this movie captures so much of the realism in the original (the quippy, smoking, drinking priests being my favorite), while also being stylish and strange and theatrical. That and Brad Dourif monologuing for minutes on end. No wonder Mike Flanagan loves this.

Wow, 8.7/10 wasn’t expecting much and was blown away

The true follow up that actually repays respects to the original while doing its only thing following it from a detective’s point of view.

Dourif 😍

I believe in Brad Dourif

bad

could've worked as it's own movie rather than being under the exorcist franchise

Not terrible. Better than the second

Bunicel

Slow start, but definitely better than the 2nd!

this film was so slow and drab. the only ounce of action/excitement was in the last 10 minutes. there were so many scenes that went on way too long. who wants to sit and watch a 10 minute conversation between two uninteresting guys MULTIPLE TIMES. movie felt 3 hours long

“Jesus loves you, everyone else thinks you’re an asshole”

Skip Exorcist 2 and go straight into this one. Just keep in mind it is as supposed to be called “Legion” not Exorcist 3 and had really nothing to do with a child possessed by a demon!). This is probably George C. Scott’s greatest performance.

Don’t forget to watch this one along with the rest of the franchise. Classics

Decent, wasn’t a fan of the ending

After Exorcist II I was really pessimistic before seeing this but was pleasantly surprised. I think it’s smart that they had a new plot that was no longer entirely dependent on Regan, the dynamic between the 2 leads was great, and Brad Dourif rules
