The Exorcism of Emily Rose

This movie works but is probably not as scary as it tries to be. There are some truly spooky sequences and visuals, my favorite being a hooded figure appearing in blink and you’ll miss it moments.

I really enjoyed I thought the parts in the court were very smart and I loved how you could interpret this movie in different ways and there’s no definitive way of knowing what happens 7.7/10

Though names are changed this is an uncomfortable watch knowing this is based on real world events. I think this cuts especially deep because the movie opts to support the theory that magic is real and a young girl wasn't tortured to death by a priest and her deluded family.

the fact that she can contort her body like that is so so cool
