This was very long and ragebating tbh, I do get the point but like didn’t have to go over it a million times wtf haven’t played the game yet tho

Would've worked a lot better as just a short film adaptation of the game. This one stretches it too much and loses any suspense.

it would be a ❤️ if it werent for the ending. honestly, this movie was very true to the game, and for it to have a plot and story was honestly impressive because the game itself doesnt have any lore.

i got the metaphor of it being his journey to accepting fatherhood ++

Uhhh it started off really great, like actually perfect to the game, and then in the last 20 minutes it started trying too hard and becoming to vague and answering so little questions while also not having one of the best moments of the game is like… eh… still a like though!

Gute Nachempfindung vom Videospiel, aber die Schauspielerische Leistung ließ zu wünschen übrig. Besonders am Anfang war dies nervig, wobei auch nicht wirklich viel Spannung aufkam oder der Film ein interessantes Pacing hatte…

ok bruh the only reason this movie isnt getting a dislike is because the aesthetic was amazing and at times i was invested. by at times I mean probably 25% of the time. movie couldve been eons shorter than it was and all the camerawork was cool and all to never really deliver the suspense it built. this truly is the walking simulator version of the backrooms everyone wanted the movie to be. the random fuckass kid that was being annoying the entire time. the slowness of the movie and how repetitive it was even though its built on the concept of repeating rooms in a purgatory-like sense still couldve been executed without feeling as slow as it did. and on top of that all the unfinished storylines are enough to destroy my opinion on the movie. couldve been a short lil 40-50 minute film and wouldve ended up at a love. wasteful

Loved watching people speed run this game, and the movie was pretty entertaining

this is really really my thing. 9.5/10 only because the mc forgets he has asthma half way through. still one of my favorite movies ever

As a new dad this journey felt real and wondering if you have what it takes - which we see at the end. So the “battle” in the movie was just what he needed.

Went in not knowing a thing and was blown away! Genuinely didn’t know how they filmed some shots, POV was awesome made me claustrophobic and anxious. The use of sound enhanced the feels. Could be argued it went long but for what the story is incredible.

Pleasant surprise. Some really cool creative decisions, especially with that extended pov in the beginning and the sound design throughout. Just when it starts feeling stale something happens that jolts you back up. Solid adaptation

The film pulled me into its eerie loop so effectively that I found myself guessing every tiny detail alongside the protagonist. The ending was a little bit off but thats it

So good- close to a love, but he forgot about the kid so quickly at the end and I feel like it could’ve been scarier

Exit 8 is a minimalist psychological thriller that builds tension through repetition and subtle details. Its looping subway setting feels eerie and immersive, keeping you constantly alert.

Saw the world premiere at Cannes Film Festival, and it was by far my favorite thing I watched while I was there.
