Even with the excessive violence (which is fun) Denzel makes retirement look so pleasant. At times I managed to forget that this man who just wants to sit and have his tea had shoved many a thing into many a man a half hour earlier.

That sounds dirtier than I meant it. Pleasant!

Fantastic!! Denzel kicks so much ass! This movie was awesome! It was definitely from a darker perspective than the first two were. I loved all three but this third one might be my favorite. What a movie!

I actually love that the movie had a great idea for the equalizer story. I just think that the writers missed with the ending, it felt too easy of a win. I also hated the acting from the CIA agents, felt like they weren’t even human. However, Denzel’s acting was 10/10.

Sooooo good! A great ending to this fantastic trilogy!

What a film! That action was non stop and awesome! Also, the acting was great, it really hot you feeling for the protagonist and the town he fell in love with.
Only reason this isn’t getting top marks is the female lead, poorly written and not needed for the plot.

A quiet end to a thrilling trilogy, it’s more interested in exploring the meditation on violence and legacy by McCall interspersed with the same badassery we expect. Although some clunky dialogue and a rushed climax/third act keep it from being amazing, it’s a fitting end

6/10 - kind of lacked the passion the other ones had. But all Equalizers are good Equalizers.

Denzel. Just like the other two, brutal kills and a good time. Glad the trilogy ended on this note. Don’t see the need for it to continue. Still think the John Wick series is better, but they’re like brother movies. 7/10

It’s an okay watch. He’s just too old for the role and it feels like it was made to relive the glory days. Watching the evolution of the character as he’s battling with finally giving up his old life is a fine character arc. The way it was captured just isn’t interesting though

Denzel’s acting was amazing, as always. The ending was really rushed while everything else was extremely long-winded. There were some unnecessary side plots too. The country was beautiful, although after some time it felt like the whole movie was like an ad for that vacation spot

Great installment to the trilogy.

Hard to watch and slow

I wish they just stuck with making one movie of The Equalizer and I hope there isn’t a 4th movie cause I loved John Wick but I felt like the ruined story and I feel like they ruined the story of Equalizer with making a third movie.

Continues the trope of ‘unsuspecting unathletic yet incredibly violent middle aged dude manages to murder hundreds of two-dimensional goons liked it’s a BO2 lobby’. Oh but this time he feels sorry for killing them…? I guess that’s an issue? This series didnt need a third movie

The tension was so palpable throughout the entire movie. It was truly incredible and even emotional. It was all building up towards the last big fight which… he just wins. So very easily. This is basically a movie about his easiest mission. Anticlimactic but liked 1st & 2nd act.

I have to give them mad props for not having him refer to himself as the equalizer for an entire trilogy.
