Literally felt like I was watching a movie at 2x speed. Very little development and every scene was less than 5 minutes. So many jumps to different places and plot points without any exploration of the characters and their growth. Only good thing was revisiting these characters.

exceeded every mf expectation i had, and the bar was set HIGH!!!!!!! i feel like we all got the closure we needed from the first film and it was gorgeously executed😭incredible cast, mesmerizing city shots, absolutely stunning wardrobes, all the paralells, gloriously satisfying end (the offices shot!!); everything is right in the world. nobody aged a day. australian love interest was perfect. 10 out of 10. this could not have been any better. i’m gagged.

Huge disappointment. There's no plot at all, the dialogues make no sense. Its only purpose is to make money using the 1st movie's fanbase. Watched it at the theatre, couldn't wait for it to end...

Surprisingly good. This is the first chick flick I’ve ever seen and I had a good time. Didn’t understand some of the references as I haven’t seen the first film (obviously) but my wife really wanted to see this as she LOVES the first one, and I’m glad we did.

Anne Hathaway is always great, Meryl Streep was great (also this was the first movie I’ve seen her in 🙈 I think), but Stanley Tucci is the goat. He’s good in everything I’ve seen and just has a knack at perfect comedic timing.

Theodore Shapiro’s music was fun and fit the mode of the scenes very well. The cinematography was pleasantly surprising as well. Don’t listen to the haters saying the movie is washed out white. There’s plenty of warmth in plenty of scenes. People are just taking the first frame of the film and plastering it all over social media saying the industry is toast when it comes to color & lighting. Camera work was also very well done in a lot of sequences.

I had a good time, I’d call it a great time because it was with my wife and she liked it as well. Good movie, good popcorn and best of all, no people talking/texting/being annoying whatsoever in my theater. ✌🏻😅

Great sequel for a film that didn’t need one

I tried to find words that can describe how i hated it but i couldn’t Walked out before it even ended So disappointed I felt like the writer just NEEDED us to be surprised so they threw so many plots it was barely half an hour through and there was already four fucking plots fuck

Storytelling, in this sequel, seems to trump scripting. Still, it’s both enjoyable and entertaining, with the same ingredients that captivated viewers 20 years ago.

This movie does not feel like it was needed or really added anything to the original movie. The characters are what carried the original, and in this one they just felt flat to me.

i was honestly worried this wasn’t going to be good because the first one is ✨iconic✨ but damn, i should’ve never doubted! this was a perfect sequel and ode to the original. i am obsessed with this cast, they are toooo good. and the fashion!!!!! 😩obviously we knew it was going to be good because duh, but i absolutely loved it. loved the cinematography in this movie, so many stunning shots. they did such a good job at modernizing, but making it feel real and not over the top. overall, just so so good. this made me very happy 🥹

Watched with my sister when wfh- some regrets

Disappointed…I loved the 1st movie, full stop.

Intellectually, I knew the 2nd one wouldn’t be as good BUT it was beyond mediocre. The storyline was hard to follow and felt forced. The new cast didn’t flow with the returning cast & the returning cast felt like they were going through the motions. Nigel (Stanley Tucci) was the only saving grace, he was wonderful, as always.

It felt like it was for a payday instead for the fans like it was sold. They should have taken a page from Top Gun: Maverick, now that’s a sequel.
