It has a good old fashion western feel. Gritty and heartbreaking.

A really great western that is written and directed by Viggo Mortensen flawlessly. A bit slow moving at times, but the story is captivating and the performances are great. Highly recommend

Not a traditional western if you’re expecting a sweeping gunslinging revenge tale. It plays more akin to a period drama with great performances from director/writer/composer/actor Viggo and more so his costar lead Krieps. Viggo certainly learned from his time on Jauja.
